To use J-B Weld WaterWeld, simply cut off the desired amount of putty, knead it thoroughly with your fingers until it's a uniform color, and then press it firmly onto the area to be repaired. The epoxy putty will set in about 15-25 minutes and fully cure in one hour.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
1. Preparation:-
Clean the surface:
Remove any dirt, debris, or loose material from the area where you'll be applying WaterWeld, according to J-B Weld.
Put on gloves:
This is recommended to keep your hands clean and protect your skin from the epoxy, says J-B Weld.
2. Applying WaterWeld:
Cut and mix:
Cut or break off the amount of WaterWeld needed, and thoroughly knead the two components (the putty-like material) together until they are a uniform color.
Apply:
Press the kneaded putty firmly into the crack, hole, or leaking area, as described on the J-B Weld website.
3. Curing:
Allow to cure: Allow the WaterWeld to fully dry and cure, which typically takes about one hour.
Clean up: Wipe up any excess epoxy putty with a clean cloth.
Important Considerations:
Surface Preparation:
Ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying WaterWeld.
Set Time:
WaterWeld has a set time of 15-25 minutes and a full cure time of one hour.
